The triennial elections of Shri Agrawal Sabha, Lucknow, one of the city’s prominent social organisations, have entered an important phase with enthusiastic participation from members. A total of 42 nomination papers have been submitted for various key posts, reflecting strong democratic engagement within the organisation.
For the post of President, Surendra Nath Agrawal (Trimurti) filed his nomination. Yatendra Kumar Singhal entered the contest for Senior Vice President, while Nilesh Agrawal (Tata) filed for the post of General Secretary. Govind Krishna Agrawal (Pappu Bora) submitted his nomination for Treasurer, and Sudhish Garg was among the six candidates contesting for the post of Minister.
The election has also generated considerable interest for other important positions. Deepak Agrawal is among the six candidates contesting for Vice President, while Asit Agrawal (Ashish) has filed his nomination for the post of Media In-charge. Nominations have also been received for 21 Executive Committee seats and four positions in the Arbitration Panel, ensuring a competitive electoral process.
All nomination papers were formally submitted to Returning Officer Bharat Bhushan Gupta within the stipulated schedule. The nomination process concluded peacefully and in accordance with the election guidelines laid down by the organisation.
The next stages will include scrutiny of nomination papers, withdrawal of candidature, and the publication of the final list of contestants before campaigning and voting begin.
Members of the Sabha believe that the election will further strengthen transparency, democratic values, and organisational unity. With active participation across various positions, the triennial poll is expected to shape the future leadership and strategic direction of Shri Agrawal Sabha for the coming term.
