Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) is set to celebrate one of the biggest milestones in its academic journey with its Grand Convocation Ceremony on July 22, 2026, at the Mars Auditorium, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow. The prestigious event will honour thousands of graduates while celebrating excellence, innovation, and academic achievement.
Addressing the media, Chancellor Er. Pankaj Agrawal and Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Tiwari announced that 7,519 students will receive their degrees, while 405 outstanding students will be honoured with academic medals, including 232 Gold Medals and 165 Silver Medals.
The highlight of this year’s convocation is that all Chancellor’s and Pro-Chancellor’s highest medals across four academic sessions have been secured by women students, showcasing SRMU’s strong commitment to gender equality, academic excellence, and women empowerment.
The ceremony will be graced by Prof. (Dr.) Bhushan Patwardhan, Chancellor of Deccan College (Deemed to be University), Pune, and National Research Professor, Ministry of AYUSH, as the Chief Guest. Akhilesh Mishra, former Director General of ICCR and former Ambassador of India to Ireland and the Maldives, will attend as the Guest of Honour.
The event will feature an academic procession, ceremonial lamp lighting, Vande Mataram, the University Anthem, the conferment of degrees and medals, the Chancellor’s address, and the Convocation Lecture by the Chief Guest.
Established in 2012, SRMU has emerged as one of Uttar Pradesh’s leading private universities with more than 12,000 students across 11 academic institutes. The university continues to promote quality education, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and ethical leadership, preparing students to contribute meaningfully to society and nation-building.
