The meeting focused on building a stronger partnership between industry and police to enhance investor confidence, improve public safety, and create a more business-friendly environment in Uttar Pradesh’s capital.

Security Drives Investment

Discussions covered corporate security, cybercrime prevention, employee safety, traffic management, public safety initiatives, and measures to further improve the Ease of Doing Business ecosystem.

Proposal for a Dedicated Nodal Officer

One of the key recommendations presented by Hasan Yakoob was the appointment of a Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) or Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) as a dedicated nodal officer for the corporate sector. The proposed officer would function as a Single Point of Contact, enabling faster grievance redressal, seamless communication, and stronger institutional coordination between businesses and the police.

Leading Corporates Participate

The delegation included senior executives from some of India’s leading organizations, including HCL, PepsiCo, Vi, Genpact, Marriott, and TCS, reflecting the growing importance of collaborative governance in supporting industrial growth and investment.

Police Assures Continued Partnership

The Police Commissioner welcomed the initiative and reaffirmed Lucknow Police’s commitment to transparent, technology-driven, and citizen-centric policing. He assured the delegation that the department would continue working closely with industry stakeholders to ensure a safe, secure, and investment-friendly environment.

Shared Vision for Growth

The meeting concluded with a consensus to institutionalize regular interactions between the corporate sector and the police, promoting collaborative solutions to emerging challenges while positioning Lucknow as a preferred destination for business, investment, and innovation.
