Lucknow, August 4: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Uttar Pradesh hosted a high-level India–Thailand Interactive Business Dialogue, reinforcing bilateral cooperation in food processing, agribusiness, retail, and exports. The event brought together industry leaders and government representatives from both countries to explore fresh opportunities for investment, technology exchange, and long-term business partnerships.
Thai Delegation Explores India’s Expanding Food Market
The Thai delegation was led by Ms. Payada Hunchasiksakul and included senior representatives from the Thai Trade Centre, New Delhi, and the National Food Institute (NFI), Ministry of Industry, Thailand. The discussions focused on strengthening commercial engagement and creating sustainable partnerships between Indian and Thai food industries.
Uttar Pradesh Showcases Its Investment Potential
The dialogue was led on behalf of CII Uttar Pradesh by Mr. Sudip Goyanka, Co-Chair, CII UP Agri & Food Processing Panel and Director, Goldiee Group. He highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s rapidly expanding food processing ecosystem, abundant agricultural resources, and growing consumer market, positioning the state as a preferred destination for domestic and international investment.
Growing Demand Creates New Opportunities
Participants exchanged insights on India’s evolving food consumption patterns, with special emphasis on the rising demand for processed, imported, and Halal-certified food products. Discussions also covered retail trends, consumer behaviour, food safety standards, and emerging export opportunities across multiple product categories.
A Stronger Future for Bilateral Trade
Industry representatives from food processing, agribusiness, retail, exports, and allied sectors explored possibilities for joint ventures, technology partnerships, value addition, and integrated supply chains. The dialogue underscored the importance of collaborative innovation in expanding bilateral trade and strengthening regional food security.
The initiative is expected to open new avenues for India–Thailand economic cooperation while positioning Uttar Pradesh as a leading destination for global agri-food investment and food processing excellence.
