Senior BJP Leader Visits Major Kanwar Camps Across Meerut
‘Sanatan Dharma Inspires Service, Harmony and National Consciousness’

The holy month of Shravan witnessed an inspiring display of faith and public service as senior BJP leader and State Vice President of BJP Trade Cell, Vineet Agrawal Sharda, visited several prominent Kanwar Seva Camps across Meerut, encouraging volunteers and interacting with thousands of Shiva devotees undertaking the annual pilgrimage.
Inaugurates Major Kanwar Service Camp
Mr. Sharda inaugurated the 35th Grand Shiv Kanwar Seva Camp at L-Block, Shastri Nagar, organized by former corporator Sanjeev Agrawal, by offering prayers to Lord Shiva. He later visited service camps on Delhi Road, Garh Road, NH-58, and several other locations, participating as Chief Guest, Special Guest, and volunteer.
Kanwar Yatra Beyond Religion
Addressing devotees, Mr. Sharda described the Kanwar Yatra as much more than a religious pilgrimage. According to him, it represents India’s timeless values of service, discipline, social harmony, devotion, and national consciousness, reflecting the essence of Sanatan civilization.
Appreciates Government Arrangements
He appreciated the arrangements made under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighting improved security, traffic management, and facilities for pilgrims. He noted that respectful gestures such as floral welcomes symbolize growing recognition of devotees’ faith and commitment.
Sanatan as a Philosophy of Service
Mr. Sharda emphasized that Sanatan Dharma stands for compassion, harmony, selfless service, and nation-building rather than conflict. He said the Kanwar Seva Camps in Meerut demonstrate how citizens from different backgrounds voluntarily come together to serve pilgrims without discrimination.
Prayers for Prosperity
Concluding his visit, the BJP leader offered prayers to Lord Shiva for peace, prosperity, social harmony, and the well-being of the nation and congratulated the organizers and volunteers for successfully managing the large-scale service camps.
