14 Divisional In-Charges Appointed, ‘One Booth–Ten Youth’ Becomes Core Organizational Formula
Party Reaffirms NDA Alliance, Intensifies Membership and Grassroots Expansion

: With an eye on the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Janata Dal (United) has intensified its organizational preparations by adopting a comprehensive grassroots strategy. At the State Executive Committee meeting held at the party’s Lucknow headquarters under the chairmanship of State President Anoop Singh Patel, several key decisions were taken to strengthen the party from the booth level upward.
Major Organizational Restructuring
The party announced the appointment of divisional in-charges for 14 divisions across Uttar Pradesh. Their responsibilities include reviewing district and assembly committees, assessing organizational strength, identifying potential electoral constituencies, conducting regular field visits, and submitting reports to the state leadership. State General Secretary Hari Shankar Patel has been entrusted with coordinating activities between divisional in-charges and district units.
‘One Booth–Ten Youth’ Campaign
The highlight of the meeting was the launch of the “One Booth–Ten Youth” organizational formula. Every booth will be encouraged to build an active committee of at least ten young volunteers to strengthen JD(U)’s grassroots presence ahead of the 2027 elections. Party leaders emphasized that strong booth-level organization remains the foundation of electoral success.
Commitment to NDA Alliance
Anoop Singh Patel reaffirmed that JD(U) will contest the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections as part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He urged party workers to remain united and intensify public outreach while expanding the party’s organizational network.
Statewide Political Outreach
The meeting also announced upcoming organizational programmes in Raebareli, Mirzapur, Meerut, Tulsipur and Prayagraj. Additionally, visits by JD(U) Working National President Sanjay Jha and Bihar Health Minister Nishant Kumar are scheduled for September to energize the party cadre across the state.
Membership Drive Gains Momentum
The Executive Committee reviewed the ongoing membership campaign and called for greater youth participation. The party also announced the appointment of Ramashankar Yadav as the District President of Ambedkar Nagar, while senior office-bearers, district presidents and representatives from various party wings participated in the meeting.
