Lucknow. The Inner Wheel Club of Lucknow, IW District 312, organised three meaningful initiatives focusing on women’s safety, women’s health, and the nutritional well-being of young sportspersons. The programme was held today at the Indian Para Judo Academy, Halwasiya Court, Lucknow.
The first initiative focused on self-defence training for girls through Judo and Taekwondo. The programme aims to equip young girls with essential self-protection techniques while promoting confidence, discipline, physical fitness and awareness. The club highlighted the im◊portance of empowering girls to become confident, fearless and self-reliant in their everyday lives.
The second initiative was a Cervical Cancer Awareness Programme. Dr Smriti Agrawal, Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, KGMU, addressed participants on cervical cancer prevention, early detection, screening and the importance of timely medical care. The session encouraged women and girls to prioritise their health and undergo appropriate preventive screening.

The third initiative focused on healthy nutrition for young sportspersons. Club Editor and Nutritionist Indu Agarwal conducted an interactive session on healthy food and nutrition. She explained the importance of balanced nutrition for strength, stamina, recovery and improved sporting performance. Protein supplements were also distributed among deserving young sportspersons to support their nutritional requirements.
Club President Kavita Agarwal and Secretary CA Pallavi Agarwal said that the three initiatives reflect the club’s commitment to safety, health, empowerment and nutrition. They emphasised that confident girls and healthy young athletes are essential for building a stronger and healthier society.

Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Lucknow participated enthusiastically in the initiatives and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting meaningful community welfare programmes.
