A large number of sisters visited prisons statewide to tie rakhis on their brothers’ wrists, praying for their healthy, happy, and prosperous lives.
Uttar Pradesh Prison Minister Shri Dara Singh Chauhan had issued strict directives to jail superintendents to ensure smooth, secure, and hassle-free arrangements for visiting sisters and relatives. Emphasizing social rehabilitation, the Minister noted that enabling inmates to celebrate festivals with their families fosters positive thinking and reintegration into mainstream society.
