In a significant step towards employee welfare, Uttar Pradesh’s Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department has granted permanent status to 194 cane supervisors who have passed the departmental online examination and completed their probation period. Announced during the auspicious beginning of Sharadiya Navratri, the decision offers relief to employees who had been awaiting regularisation of their service status.
The move will facilitate the restoration of pending salary increments and access to other admissible service benefits, subject to applicable rules and eligibility conditions.
Relief for Employees
The decision has been taken in line with the state government’s stated emphasis on transparent administration, good governance and employee welfare under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
According to the department’s announcement dated October 10, the measure benefits cane supervisors appointed in 2018 and 2021. Their permanent status will help resolve pending service-related matters and enable eligible employees to receive benefits due under the applicable provisions.
