Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has launched the Bhavya Portal, a key digital platform under the Bharat Industrial Development Scheme (BHAVYA), aimed at transforming India’s industrial infrastructure landscape.

The ambitious scheme seeks to develop 100 world-class industrial parks across the country with a total outlay of ₹33,660 crore. The government expects the initiative to attract significant domestic and foreign investment while generating large-scale employment opportunities.

Speaking at the launch, Goyal said the scheme will adopt a competitive model, encouraging states to submit proposals based on industrial potential, land availability, investor interest and regional strengths. Investors will be able to access detailed information on industrial parks, including land availability, connectivity and infrastructure, through a single digital interface.

The proposed industrial parks will feature plug-and-play infrastructure, reliable power and water supply, road and rail connectivity, digital single-window clearances and modern testing facilities. Dedicated spaces will also be created for startups, deep-tech companies, research and development centres and innovation-driven enterprises.

The minister highlighted that major investments in highways, railways, ports, airports and digital connectivity, along with reforms such as GST and labour policy changes, have laid a strong foundation for industrial growth in India.

In the first phase, applications received between June and July will be considered for 20 industrial parks. The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) will lead the implementation and monitoring of the scheme through the newly launched portal.

The government believes the Bhavya initiative will strengthen India’s position as a global manufacturing hub, boost ease of doing business and accelerate the country’s journey towards the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
