1,315 Vacancies Fast-Tracked for Recruitment; Compassionate Appointments Bring Relief to 286 Bereaved Families

In a major employee-centric move aimed at boosting administrative morale and reinforcing organizational workspace culture, the Uttar Pradesh Sugarcane Development Department has rolled out sweeping career advancements. Following guidelines from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the department successfully launched a human resource drive, granting timely promotions to 308 officials and long-awaited Assured Career Progression (ACP) financial upgrades to another 371 employees.
Expansive Hierarchy Upgrades Across All Cadres: The departmental directive has cleared transition blockages for various ranks. Out of the 308 promoted personnel, the beneficiaries include 01 Gazetted Officer, 35 clerical staff members, 241 active workers of cooperative sugarcane societies, 10 Khandsari Inspectors, and 21 departmental drivers, successfully opening up stable vertical growth paths for them.
Resolution of Long-Pending ACP Financial Benefits: Addressing cumulative grievances on priority, Cane Commissionerate formalized ACP benefits for 371 employees, directly scaling up their baseline salary structures. This financial upgradation covers 18 Gazetted Officers, 06 Senior Sugarcane Development Inspectors, 12 Statistical Cadre officials, 27 Sugarcane Development Inspectors, 125 Cane Supervisors, 75 clerks, 14 Khandsari Officers, 16 Khandsari Inspectors, and 78 employees working within regional cane societies.
Compassionate Appointments and Massive 1,315 New Job Openings: Demonstrating structural empathy, the department has provided critical economic stability to bereaved families by appointing 26 compassionate dependents in the past year alone, taking the total tally of such placements to 286 since 2017. Furthermore, to enhance ground-level monitoring and crop inspection speeds, the department has officially sent requisitions (Adhiyachan) for 1,315 vacant posts to state selection boards. This mass hiring drive will soon generate fresh employment avenues for the youth while strengthening rural public service delivery.
