The international conference ‘Anvesh–2026’ was inaugurated at National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, with Union Minister Chirag Paswan stating that the food processing sector will be instrumental in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Rising Demand for Ready-to-Eat & Value-Added Products

Highlighting shifting consumer lifestyles, the minister stressed the importance of value addition and innovation. He noted that 100% FDI in food products manufactured in India has significantly strengthened exports and global competitiveness.

PLI Scheme Surpasses Targets, Creates 3.29 Lakh Jobs

Food Processing Secretary Avinash Joshi revealed that under the PLI scheme, ₹2,625 crore has been disbursed out of ₹10,900 crore allocation. The sector has already generated 3.29 lakh jobs against the target of 2.5 lakh, marking 131% achievement.

Global Experts Converge to Boost Innovation & Sustainability

With over 1,000 delegates from 25+ countries, the three-day conference focuses on digital compliance, sustainable supply chains, export-oriented innovation and future-ready agri-food entrepreneurship. India aims to position its food products in global markets with uncompromised quality standards.
