In a major initiative aimed at strengthening the MSME ecosystem, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with L&T-SuFin organized the Lucknow B2B Market Linkage Forum 2026 – Exploring Lucknow as a Sourcing Destination in Lucknow. The forum focused on encouraging small and medium enterprises to adopt B2B industrial e-commerce platforms to expand their market reach and strengthen supply chains.

The event highlighted how B2B digital commerce can transform sectors such as engineering, electrical and mechanical machinery, metals and alloys, industrial supplies, solar power, building materials, plastics, auto parts and packaging. Industry experts emphasized that digital platforms can help MSMEs connect with buyers, suppliers and industrial clusters more efficiently.

Kavita Nigam, Senior Member of PHDCCI and Chief Human Resources Officer at Karam Safety Pvt. Ltd., noted that Lucknow’s approximately 16,000 MSMEs create a strong foundation for building a vibrant B2B marketplace. She emphasized that innovation-driven growth, skill development and improved ease of doing business can further strengthen the city’s industrial potential.

During a detailed presentation, Soumya Pathak, Regional Lead (North) at L&T-SuFin, explained that the platform launched by engineering giant Larsen & Toubro connects MSME buyers and sellers through a digital marketplace. The platform offers more than 50 product categories and over 850,000 SKUs linked to infrastructure supply chains, including wires, cables, TMT steel and structural materials.

She added that the platform operates on a Request-for-Quotation (RFQ) model, enabling buyers to receive competitive quotes from multiple suppliers. Trusted sellers with L&T-SuFin Trust Seal, integrated payment gateways and pan-India logistics partnerships ensure secure transactions. Currently, more than 45,000 sellers are registered on the marketplace.

Speakers at the forum also highlighted that digital commerce platforms can help MSMEs gain visibility, access working-capital solutions and connect with larger supply chains. The event concluded with a Q&A session followed by networking interactions and B2B meetings between participants and industry representatives.
