A core highlight of the discussion was the progress review of 25 established and upcoming Centres of Excellence (CoEs) spanning across agriculture and horticulture sectors. Demonstrating a shared commitment toward enhanced productivity, both nations agreed to formulate a comprehensive work plan to streamline cooperation within the vital seed sector, ensuring a predictable and effective implementation framework.
Fostering Agricultural Innovation and Knowledge Exchange
Recognizing the rapid strides made by both nations in agritech, the leaders evaluated potential frameworks for joint agricultural innovation. The dialogue underscored the mutual resolve to leverage modern technology, robust research methodologies, and cross-border knowledge sharing to future-proof farming communities against climate and market vulnerabilities.
The high-profile Dutch delegation featured prominent dignitaries including Mr. Marten van den Berg, Director General, alongside H.E. Ms. Marisa Gerards, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to India. The Indian side was comprehensively represented by Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare officials and DARE Secretary Dr. M. L. Jat.
