Bank Reaffirms Commitment to Transparency in Ram Temple Donation Investigation

Ayodhya: The State Bank of India (SBI) has reaffirmed its full cooperation with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to investigate alleged irregularities in the management of donations collected through the donation boxes at the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
SBI has been providing banking services to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust since the consecration ceremony (Pran Pratishtha) of Lord Shri Ram. In an official statement, the bank clarified that it has already extended complete assistance to the SIT during the ongoing investigation and remains committed to cooperating fully in all future proceedings.
Chief General Manager Deepesh Raj stated that the bank is dedicated to maintaining transparency, accountability, and strict compliance with banking regulations. He emphasized that SBI will continue to provide all required documents and information sought by the investigating authorities.
The bank’s statement underlines its commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent investigation while supporting law enforcement agencies throughout the process.
