Bizarre Kitchen Horrors Uncovered! Fake Food Factories Sealed from Ghaziabad to Lucknow as Yogi Govt Cracks Down

The Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) of Uttar Pradesh has launched a high-voltage, state-wide surprise crackdown on manufacturing units, distributors, and massive warehouses over June 15 and 16, 2026. The department targeted elite food adulterators who were happily supplying substandard fruit and vegetable products to the market.
Massive Seizures and Garbage Disposal: 550 Samples Liquidated During this high-octane operation, food safety officers inspected nearly 337 mega establishments and collected 550 samples for urgent lab testing. The department seized suspicious stock weighing 195.5 quintals, valued at ₹17.06 lakh. Furthermore, the inspectors systematically destroyed an additional 171.8 quintals of rotting, unhygienic food items worth ₹11.86 lakh on the spot. To ensure fair play, small-scale retailers, street vendors, and small hawkers were completely excluded from this legal net.
Sizzling Ground Exploits From Major Districts:
Lucknow Scares: At ‘Bombay Food Industries’, inspectors seized expired sauce worth ₹1.19 lakh. Another unit, ‘Baba Food Products’, was caught operating illegally without a license and was shut down instantly. Meanwhile, ‘Nilans Enterprises’ had to watch ₹5.82 lakh worth of expired pickle and chili sauce get thrown straight into the trash.
Ghaziabad Horrors: Famous ‘Rahul Achar Wale’ faced legal wrath as 2,400 kg of contaminated pickle worth ₹9.60 lakh was destroyed. Two other underground illegal pickle factories in Khoda were permanently sealed due to unhygienic conditions.
Hathras & Muzaffarnagar: ‘Mehta Agro’ was forced to dump 6,300 kg of putrid pickle, while Muzaffarnagar’s ‘Annapurna Food Products’ saw 2,000 kg of unhygienic snacks sauce cleared out.
Gorakhpur & Kanpur: Gorakhpur’s ‘Ritima Food’ was caught running a filthy sauce operation; its stocks were seized. In Kanpur, when the owner of ‘Vishal Bharat Industries’ played hide-and-seek and remained absent, the authorities locked up the entire manufacturing plant!
