Bhupendra Chaudhary stated that the MSME sector will play a crucial role in transforming Uttar Pradesh into a developed and economically strong state. Soon after assuming charge, the minister chaired a departmental review meeting at the Uttar Pradesh Assembly and directed officials to ensure comprehensive support for entrepreneurs from enterprise setup to production, marketing, and exports.

During the meeting, officials informed that more than 9.6 million MSME units are currently operational across the state, providing employment and self-employment opportunities to nearly 30 million people. The sector also contributes approximately 46 percent to Uttar Pradesh’s total exports, highlighting its major economic significance.

Bhupendra Chaudhary emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, MSME-related schemes would be implemented at a faster pace. He instructed officials to strengthen initiatives such as the Chief Minister Youth Self-Employment Scheme and Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana to empower young entrepreneurs and traditional artisans. He also stressed prioritizing Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and backward communities in government welfare and entrepreneurship schemes.

The minister also reviewed the implementation of the Mukhyamantri Micro Enterprise Accident Insurance Scheme and the Uttar Pradesh MSME Technology Upgradation Scheme. He stated that entrepreneurs must be equipped with both financial security and modern technology to remain competitive in changing markets.

To accelerate industrial growth, the government has also planned the development of private industrial parks and modernization of district industry centers across the state. Officials believe these measures will significantly strengthen the MSME ecosystem and generate large-scale employment opportunities for youth.

The meeting was attended by Hansraj Vishwakarma, senior MSME department officials, and industry administrators.
