Ministry of Textiles Secretary Neelam Shami Rao officially launched the Bharat Tex 2026 mobile application, marking a major step toward creating a fully digital experience for India’s largest global textile event. The app is designed as an integrated digital companion for buyers, exhibitors, international delegates, speakers, sourcing consultants, and visitors.
Bharat Tex 2026 will be held from July 14 to July 17, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. The mega event is expected to attract over 7,000 international buyers and more than 130,000 business visitors from across the global textile industry.
Officials stated that the app reflects the event’s “digital-first” approach and will significantly improve business networking, participant engagement, and event management. Registered users will be able to search exhibitors, schedule B2B meetings, access digital badges, capture leads, navigate the venue, attend knowledge sessions, and receive real-time updates through a single mobile interface.
One of the app’s key highlights is its AI Smart Assistant, designed as a 24×7 conversational support tool. Participants can ask event-related questions in simple language and instantly receive information about schedules, directions, exhibitor locations, and other event services. The feature is expected to enhance convenience for both domestic and international visitors.
The platform will also support structured networking through dedicated meeting modules, allowing exhibitors and buyers to connect efficiently. QR-based lead capture and digital contact management tools are expected to streamline post-event business engagement and follow-up communication.
Bharat Tex 2026 will showcase India’s complete textile value chain, including fiber, yarn, fabrics, garments, home textiles, technical textiles, handicrafts, sustainable textiles, and smart manufacturing technologies. Industry experts believe the initiative aligns strongly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “5F Vision” — Farm to Fiber to Factory to Fashion to Foreign — aimed at strengthening India’s position as a global textile sourcing and investment hub.
