Opposition Targets BJP Over Cabinet Portfolio Distribution Row

Questions Raised Over Delay in UP Ministry Allocation

Political tensions in Uttar Pradesh have intensified following sharp allegations over the delay in portfolio allocation after the recent cabinet expansion in the BJP-led state government. Opposition voices and critics of the government have accused the ruling establishment of internal conflict and power struggles linked to ministry distribution.

In a strongly worded political statement, critics alleged that after deciding the names of ministers, even the allocation of departments was now being controlled “from the top.” The delay in assigning ministries, according to the allegations, is reportedly connected to internal disagreements over influential departments and alleged financial interests attached to them.

The statement further claimed that several newly inducted ministers were currently left waiting without clarity regarding their actual responsibilities, describing them as “spectators” in the ongoing power dynamics. Opposition leaders also took aim at the BJP’s “double-engine government” slogan, alleging excessive centralisation of authority within the administration.

Critics argued that the public has now become more politically aware and intends to closely monitor the functioning of every newly assigned ministry. The statement claimed that citizens, activists, and independent social media users would collect documentary, audio, and video evidence related to alleged irregularities and corruption in governance.

The remarks also reflected growing political distrust toward anti-corruption institutions, with allegations that watchdog agencies had become ineffective under the present administration. According to the statement, many people now see social media platforms and citizen journalism as alternative tools for accountability and transparency.

Political observers believe the controversy surrounding ministry allocation may further fuel confrontation between the ruling party and opposition groups in Uttar Pradesh. With political temperatures rising ahead of future electoral battles, aggressive rhetoric and corruption-related allegations are expected to remain central to the state’s political discourse.
