. Launching a blistering, no-holds-barred attack on the ruling dispensation, Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav alleged that corruption, institutional looting, and commission-seeking have hit an all-time high under the BJP government. Addressing a highly charged gathering of party leaders and workers at the state headquarters on Wednesday, Yadav stated that illegal mining is flourishing across Uttar Pradesh with absolute impunity.
The former Chief Minister brought out specific, spicy details to corner the government over infrastructure spending. “A staggering ₹7,000 crore was plundered in the name of constructing just a 90-kilometer link road in Gorakhpur. Similarly, another ₹7,000 crore was pocketed for Lucknow’s 40-kilometer Green Corridor,” Akhilesh claimed. He mocked the government’s priorities, saying that while government schools are shutting down and hospitals are in a pathetic state, the number of liquor shops is rapidly multiplying across the state.
Turning up the political heat, Yadav accused the BJP of actively plotting against the ‘PDA’ (Picchda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) communities and systematically stealing their constitutional reservation rights. He asserted that the law-and-order machinery has completely collapsed, with criminals roaming fearlessly while common citizens feel unsafe. On the power crisis, he remarked that the BJP failed to add even a single unit of electricity generation, and the state is solely running on power plants set up during the previous Samajwadi regime.
Sounding the battle cry for the 2027 Assembly polls, Akhilesh urged workers to maintain disciplined behavior as the public has already decided to oust the BJP. Dropping a major poll promise, he declared, “As soon as the Samajwadi Party forms the government in 2027, the socialist ‘Red Caps’ will officially revive and run Kanpur’s iconic Lal Imli Mill.” He promised 24-hour pro-farmer policies, massive dairy development, and a complete cleanup of the corrupt system.
