Co-operatives will form the bedrock of India’s economy when the nation celebrates its independence centenary in 2047. Nine new national-level co-operative societies have been formed across banking, dairy, agriculture, and mobility to challenge global standards within the next decade.
The Mega Digital Transformation of PACS
Tech Infusion: With an investment of ₹3,000 crore, 50,000 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) have been converted into paperless ‘E-PACS’.
Multi-Service Hubs: 55,000 PACS now offer CSC digital services, while 39,000 operate as Kisan Samriddhi Kendras and 639 as Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
Co-operative Banking Business Crosses ₹25 Lakh Crore
With the implementation of cyber security, E-KYC, and mobile banking, the business of District Co-operative Banks has skyrocketed from ₹19.6 lakh crore to over ₹25 lakh crore. Furthermore, the net NPA of urban co-operative banks has drastically dropped to an impressive 0.7%.

BBSSL Mega Push: The Bharatiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Limited is on track to become India’s largest non-government seed producer in the next 3 years.
