In a significant stride toward widening the social security net, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA), in collaboration with the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI), organized a comprehensive National Pension System (NPS) awareness program tailored for the MSME sector in Prayagraj today. The conclave witnessed active participation from 48 prominent MSME delegates representing diverse industrial verticals.
High-Profile Dignitaries Mobilize Financial Literacy The institutional drive was graced by key policymakers and administrative leaders, including Shri Sudhir Singh, Deputy General Manager (DGM), PFRDA; Shri Rahul Ji, Lead District Manager (LDM), Prayagraj; and Shri V.K. Maurya, Assistant Commissioner, MSME, who attended as chief guests. Industry experts and representatives from four registered Points of Presence (PoPs) also joined to simplify the architecture of operationalizing NPS accounts.
Strategic Highlights on Long-Term Wealth Creation and Tax Gains Addressing the gathering, DGM PFRDA Shri Sudhir Singh elaborated extensively on the multifaceted benefits of the National Pension System, pointing out its low-cost structure, robust tax efficiencies, and crucial role in achieving post-retirement financial independence. He strongly urged MSME promoters to institutionalize retirement planning by onboarding themselves and their respective workforces onto the regulated pension platform.
Banking Ecosystem and Employee Welfare in Focus Emphasizing field implementation, LDM Prayagraj Shri Rahul Ji stressed that the banking sector remains committed to utilizing its deep penetration to scale the awareness of NPS. Concurrently, Assistant Commissioner Shri V.K. Maurya motivated the entrepreneurs to adopt NPS as a premium tool for employee welfare, ensuring a safe, dignified, and predictable future for the segment’s workforce.
Interactive Grievance Redressal and On-Boarding Insights The session concluded with an interactive open-house segment where financial experts systematically resolved queries raised by the participants regarding migration and fund allotment.
