With international education, research, training and academic exchange opening new avenues for young Indians, the Regional Passport Office, Lucknow is stepping up its outreach efforts through a special campaign titled “Passport First, Opportunities Next.”

The campaign will be organised on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at four Passport Seva Kendras located in Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Varanasi.

Preparing Before Opportunity Knocks

The initiative aims to encourage young citizens to obtain their first passport in advance, enabling them to remain prepared for opportunities related to higher education, research, training, academic exchange and other international engagements.

The passport office has been expanding its citizen-oriented initiatives with the objective of making passport services more accessible, convenient and efficient.

Appointments Open from October 6

Students, trainees, research scholars and teachers associated with reputed educational and training institutions across Uttar Pradesh can begin the appointment process from October 6.

Eligible applicants can apply for an appointment at their nearest Passport Seva Kendra through the official passportindia.gov.in website.

Four Centres, Wider Reach

By taking the special outreach campaign beyond Lucknow to Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Varanasi, the Regional Passport Office intends to make the initiative accessible to a wider section of young applicants.

The campaign comes at a time when international academic and professional opportunities increasingly require young people to be prepared with essential travel documentation well in advance.

A Call to Eligible Applicants

The Regional Passport Office, Lucknow has appealed to all eligible applicants to make maximum use of the special initiative.

The message behind the campaign is straightforward: do not wait for an international opportunity to arrive before beginning the passport process. Prepare first, and be ready when the opportunity comes.
