Expressing deep concern over the escalating protests at Jantar Mantar and parliamentary deadlocks regarding the NEET examination paper leaks, BSP National President Mayawati asserted that the ongoing turmoil has severely jeopardized the future of students and their families across the nation.
Root Cause: Deep-Rooted Corruption & Lack of Constitutional Morality
Addressing the issue, Mayawati highlighted that recurring paper leaks and governance failures stem directly from systemic corruption. She invoked Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s emphasis on ‘Constitutional Morality’, reiterating that the lack of moral governance acts like a termite hollowed out the nation’s integrity and meritocracy.
Condemns Politicization of Student Protests
The BSP leader condemned political parties for exploiting the student movement to serve narrow self-interests. She remarked that escalating confrontations from the streets to Parliament lead to unwarranted violence and disrupt normal public life in New Delhi and across states.
Call for Institutional Intervention & Consensus
Urging immediate resolution, Mayawati called upon the central government and constitutional bodies like the judiciary to take proactive steps. She stressed that both the administration and protesting student factions must collaborate to reach a peaceful and amicable settlement without further delay.
