: Reinforcing the Government of India’s commitment to women’s and child safety, Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi has urged citizens to download the Mission Shakti App, describing it as a powerful digital platform that ensures instant access to essential emergency and support services.

One App, Multiple Lifesaving Services

In a post on social media platform X, the Minister stated that the Mission Shakti App represents the government’s commitment to protection, support, and empowerment of women and children. The application integrates multiple emergency helplines into a single platform, enabling faster and easier access during times of need.

Critical Helplines at Your Fingertips

The app provides direct access to several key national support services, including Women’s Helpline (181), Emergency Response (112), Nutrition & PMMVY Helpline (1515), National Cyber Crime Helpline (1930), NALSA Legal Aid (15100), Tele-MANAS Mental Health Support (14416), and Child Helpline (1098).

Technology Empowering Social Protection

Experts believe the Mission Shakti App represents a significant step toward integrating technology with public welfare. By bringing legal assistance, emergency response, cyber safety, child protection, nutrition services, and mental health support onto one digital platform, the government aims to make assistance more accessible and efficient.

A Call for Public Participation

Annapurna Devi appealed to citizens not only to download the application themselves but also to spread awareness among family members, friends, and communities so that more people can benefit from these life-saving services.

Strengthening Digital India

The Mission Shakti App is expected to play a vital role in advancing Digital India and women-led development, creating a nationwide digital safety ecosystem where timely support becomes available at the touch of a button. The initiative reflects India’s growing focus on technology-driven governance and inclusive social protection.
