A vibrant Hariyali Teej celebration was organised in Indira Nagar, bringing women together for an evening filled with tradition, music, dance and cultural enthusiasm. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana.

Colours of Teej

Women dressed in colourful traditional attire added to the festive atmosphere. Mehendi decoration, traditional Teej songs and graceful dance performances created a lively celebration of the cultural spirit associated with Hariyali Teej.

The religious and cultural significance of the festival was also highlighted during the programme, providing participants an opportunity to celebrate tradition while strengthening community bonds.

Talent Takes Centre Stage

A series of entertaining competitions added excitement to the celebration. Women participated enthusiastically in the various contests organised during the event.

Nehal won the Teej Queen competition, emerging as the highlight of the celebrations.

In the Dholak competition, Pramila Verma and Pratibha Tiwari were declared winners, while Meera secured first position in the Sawan Song competition.

Meera Leads the Programme

The programme was efficiently conducted by Meera, a resident of Shivajipuram, whose engaging presentation kept the celebration lively and well coordinated.

Bhavna Srivastava distributed gifts among the participants and women present at the event, adding a warm and memorable touch to the celebration.

Strong Women’s Participation

Tanu, Shalini, Deepti, Yamini, Anjali, Arpita and Manju, along with several other women, participated enthusiastically. The atmosphere remained filled with laughter, music and festive energy throughout the programme.

Celebrating Togetherness

The celebration concluded with a collective lunch followed by a vote of thanks. The event reflected the importance of preserving India’s cultural traditions while creating opportunities for women to come together, celebrate their talents and strengthen bonds of friendship and community.

The Hariyali Teej programme in Indira Nagar thus emerged as a vibrant celebration of culture, women’s participation, social harmony and traditional values.
