Development activities in Lucknow’s parliamentary constituency received a further boost with the inauguration of an open gym, children’s swings and a tree plantation initiative at Chandra Nagari Colony, located in the Chandrabhanu Gupta Moti Nagar Ward of the Cantonment Assembly area.
The programme, held at Chandra Nagari Colony on Naka-Aishbagh Road, was inaugurated by Anand Dwivedi, President of the BJP Lucknow Mahanagar unit, who attended as the chief guest. Local BJP office-bearers, workers and residents were also present.
Among those attending were former councillor Surendra Singh, Cantonment Mandal-3 President Manas Bari, BJP Lucknow Mahanagar Working Committee Member Ravi Prakash Jaiswal, Mandal Vice-President Atul Singh, Yuva Morcha Mandal General Secretary Anurag Sonkar and Sector Convenor Sandeep.
Colony office-bearers and residents expressed their gratitude to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for the development works being carried out in the area. Colony President Dr. Shankar Madhav Natu, Vice-President Dr. Devendra Nagpal, Engineer Umesh Sahu, Sachin Ravi Moongnani, Joint Secretary Akhilesh Prakash Dwivedi, Treasurer S. Agrawal and other representatives attended the event.
Anand Dwivedi said that ensuring the benefits of development projects and welfare schemes reach ordinary citizens remains a key priority for BJP workers. He emphasised that government development initiatives are aimed at providing better civic amenities to every section of society.
BJP leader Ravi Prakash Jaiswal said that several development projects have been undertaken in the colony in recent months. Around three months ago, renovation and improvement works were carried out in the park through Legislative Council Member Mukesh Sharma. More recently, local councillor Charanjit Raju Gandhi facilitated road construction and work related to the water tank.
The newly inaugurated open gym and children’s swings are expected to provide residents with improved facilities for fitness, recreation and outdoor activities. The tree plantation drive will also contribute to increasing greenery and promoting a cleaner environment.
Residents welcomed the development initiatives and expressed satisfaction with the improvement in public facilities, thanking the elected representatives and BJP leadership for the ongoing works.
