Over 100 manufacturers and entrepreneurs participate in Lucknow conclave to discuss licensing, quality standards and global competitiveness

Lucknow, September 12: Strengthening the Ayush industry, simplifying regulatory processes and addressing the practical challenges faced by MSMEs were at the centre of discussions at the Ayush Regulatory Conclave 2026, organised at the IIA Bhawan in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
The conclave was organised by the Ayush Sub-Committee of the Indian Industries Association (IIA) with the support of the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and the Ayush Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. More than 100 Ayush manufacturers and entrepreneurs from across Uttar Pradesh participated in the programme.
The discussions focused on the E-Aushadhi portal, licensing procedures, regulatory compliance, pharmaceutical laws, quality standards, MSME concerns and opportunities to make Indian Ayush products more competitive in global markets.
IIA National President Dinesh Goyal said that the Ayush industry has emerged as a strong pillar of the MSME sector. He underlined IIA’s commitment to taking the concerns and recommendations of MSMEs to the government and described the conclave as an important bridge between industry and policymakers.
IIA General Secretary Deepak Bajaj said the organisation is continuously working to provide entrepreneurs with a direct platform for interaction with government and administrative authorities. He described the event as IIA’s first conclave of its kind in the Ayush sector and expressed the intention to make it an annual initiative.
Conclave Convener and Chairman of the Ayush Sub-Committee Ritesh Srivastava described the E-Aushadhi portal as a significant step towards greater transparency. At the same time, he stressed the need to address practical difficulties being faced by MSMEs while implementing the system.
Dr. Debashish Panda, Joint Adviser (Ayurveda), Ministry of Ayush, highlighted the government’s objective of making the Ayush industry globally competitive through initiatives such as AOGUSY and E-Aushadhi. Dr. Vijay Garg, Assistant Drugs Controller, Government of Delhi, highlighted greater transparency in licensing and advised manufacturers to maintain high-quality documentation.
Uttar Pradesh Drug Inspector Dr. Sudeep Verma assured MSME Ayush manufacturers of government support, while Mayank Srivastava from BIS underlined the importance of compliance with BIS standards for improving product quality and export potential.
IIA Senior Vice President Alok Agarwal delivered the vote of thanks and acknowledged the contribution of participating departments, experts, moderators and entrepreneurs. The event was effectively moderated by Arun Srivastava, with session moderators Abhijat Shikhar, Gagan Vohra and Shivam Goel playing key roles. IIA Treasurer Awadhesh Agarwal was also present.
The conclave emerged as a significant platform for direct dialogue between Ayush manufacturers and regulatory stakeholders, with a clear focus on simplifying compliance, improving quality and unlocking new growth opportunities for MSME-based Ayush enterprises.
