Shradha Suri Marwah Named Deputy Chairperson, Industry Eyes Growth Boost

: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region has announced its new leadership for 2026–27 during its annual regional meeting held in New Delhi, signaling a forward-looking vision for industrial growth and collaboration.
Puneet Kaura, Managing Director and CEO of Samtel Avionics Limited, has been elected as Chairperson, while Shradha Suri Marwah, Chairperson and Managing Director of Subros Limited, has been appointed as Deputy Chairperson.
Together, they will lead CII’s Northern Region operations across seven states—Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh—as well as three Union Territories: Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh.
Puneet Kaura brings extensive experience in aerospace, defense, and railway electronics. He has played a key role in forging joint ventures with global giants like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Thales Group, strengthening India’s advanced defense technology ecosystem.
Outlining his vision for 2026–27, Kaura emphasized six priority areas: policy advocacy, technology and innovation, MSME competitiveness, skill development, sustainability and inclusion, and member engagement. He highlighted the need for a balanced and future-ready industrial ecosystem to drive long-term growth.
Shradha Suri Marwah, a prominent industry leader, has significantly expanded the footprint of Subros Limited in thermal products and solutions. Under her leadership, the company has diversified into residential and commercial segments, reinforcing its market leadership.
Her contributions to CII have also been noteworthy, having served as a member of the National Council (2023–25). She has actively contributed to initiatives aimed at enhancing industrial competitiveness, manufacturing excellence, and policy support.
Industry experts believe that this leadership transition will further strengthen industry-government collaboration and accelerate regional economic development.
With a clear strategic roadmap and experienced leadership, the CII Northern Region is well-positioned to drive sustainable growth and contribute meaningfully to India’s long-term economic aspirations.
