Lucknow witnessed an explosion of culture, faith, and high energy as the Maheshwari Samaj celebrated its lineage foundation day, Mahesh Navmi, with unmatched grandeur. The historic streets of Chowk turned into a vibrant carnival of devotion early Tuesday morning, leaving locals absolutely spellbound.
From Mata Anandi Devi to Koneshwar Mahadev: A Spiritual Extravaganza
The mega event kicked off at 7:30 AM with a divine darshan at the Mata Anandi Devi Temple. Soon after, a magnificent Shobhayatra of Lord Uma-Mahesh commenced towards the Koneshwar Mahadev Temple. Dressed in dazzling traditional attire, families marched together, singing soulful hymns and dancing to rhythmic beats, creating an electric atmosphere.
Chilled Sharbat and Lip-Smacking Bhandara for All!
Upon reaching the Koneshwar Mahadev Temple, the devotion transformed into pure community service. To beat the scorching heat, the community organized a massive refreshment drive distributing chilled ‘Sharbat’ and hosting a grand Bhandara. Local heavyweights and corporators Anurag Mishra ‘Shalu Tandon’, Har Prasad Agrawal, and Uttam Kapoor actively joined hands, rendering physical labor (Shramdaan) to serve the public.
Who’s Who of the Samaj Graced the Gala
The parade was a star-studded affair with top community leaders in attendance, including Govind Maheshwari, Vinamra Maheshwari, Nikhil Maheshwari, Vinod Prakash, Radhe Shyam Jaju, Sharad Lahoti, Deepak, Nitin, Praveen, and Ashish Maheshwari. The dynamic Lucknow Mahila Mandal and Youth Wing, represented by Kiran Kalandri, Ritu, Kamal, Sunil, Sanskar, Shyam, and Vedansh, kept the crowd’s energy at an all-time high.

Dropping a major update, Media Coordinator Vinod Maheshwari revealed that the grand finale is scheduled for Thursday, June 25th. The Maheshwari Samaj is hosting its massive Annual Function at the prestigious Visvesvaraya Bhawan, Hazratganj. The cultural extravaganza will feature jaw-dropping performances by women and kids, and will be graced by the National President and General Secretary of the All India Maheshwari Mahasabha, along with delegates from various UP districts.
