The “Dugdh Swarn Mahotsav 2026” is set to begin on April 17–18 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, marking 50 years of the Dairy Development Department in Uttar Pradesh. The grand event will be inaugurated in the presence of Cabinet Minister Dharampal Singh, along with senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary Mukesh Kumar Meshram.
The two-day festival will witness participation from around 10,000 dairy farmers, producers, and investors from across the state. Through live webcasting and YouTube streaming, the event will also reach a global audience, connecting dairy stakeholders worldwide.
A key highlight of the event is the recognition and felicitation of outstanding farmers and investors who have excelled in dairy development initiatives. Leading private players such as Gyan Milk and C P Milk Producer Company will showcase innovative dairy products, technologies, and solutions through exhibition stalls and kiosks.
The first session will feature cow worship, exhibition inauguration, release of success story publications, launch of departmental social media channels, and award distribution under the Nand Baba Dairy Mission. The second session will include expert presentations on dairy science, policy frameworks, and technological advancements.
The festival will also focus on indigenous cattle breeding, biogas utilization, and strengthening rural economies. A single-window system will facilitate MoU signings for potential investors, encouraging growth in the dairy sector.
Overall, the event aims to boost innovation, attract investments, and create sustainable growth opportunities in Uttar Pradesh’s dairy ecosystem, reinforcing its role in rural development and employment generation.
