India Energy Week 2027 to Open a New Chapter
75,000+ Energy Professionals Expected

India is preparing to bring a major global energy gathering to eastern India, with Kolkata set to host the fifth edition of India Energy Week 2027 from January 28 to 31, 2027 at the New Town Convention Centre.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari formally announced Kolkata as the host city. The event will bring together policymakers, energy industry leaders, investors, technology innovators and other stakeholders from across the global energy value chain.
Innovation at the Centre
The theme for IEW 2027 is “Unlocking Innovation. Securing Energy. Shaping the Future.” The conference will focus on energy security, affordability, technology, investment and sustainability, with discussions aimed at identifying practical approaches to emerging challenges.
A Global Gathering
More than 75,000 energy professionals and 700+ international exhibitors are expected to participate. The exhibition and conference will provide opportunities for technology showcases, strategic partnerships and discussions on investment across the energy sector.
Technology Drives the Agenda
IEW 2027 will highlight developments across oil and gas, LNG, refining and petrochemicals, hydrogen, biofuels, digitalisation and artificial intelligence, alongside other emerging areas. The official event platform describes the exhibition as a forum for innovation, collaboration and opportunities across the global energy value chain.
Eastern India Enters the Spotlight
Hosting the event in Kolkata marks the first time India Energy Week will be held in eastern India. The move is expected to create a platform for businesses, institutions and energy-sector stakeholders from the region to engage with international partners and participate in wider global energy discussions.
The 2026 edition in Goa brought together more than 75,000 energy professionals, 700+ exhibitors, participants from over 120 countries and more than 6,500 conference delegates. IEW 2027 will build on that international platform, with strategic discussions spanning energy security, investment, technology, transition and sustainability.
