: In a citizen-centric initiative aimed at ensuring prompt grievance redressal, Lucknow General Post Office (GPO) will organize a Postal Adalat on August 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The Adalat is being conducted for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, providing customers with an opportunity to present complaints related to postal services directly before postal authorities.

A Dedicated Platform for Public Grievances

India Post stated that the Postal Adalat serves as an effective public grievance mechanism designed to provide quick, transparent and customer-friendly resolution of complaints relating to postal services. The initiative also seeks to improve service quality and strengthen public confidence in the postal system.

Applications Must Reach by August 10

Citizens wishing to participate must ensure that their complaints or representations reach the Chief Postmaster, Lucknow GPO, Lucknow – 226001, on or before August 10, 2026. Applications may be submitted either by post or in person.

Important Instructions for Applicants

The envelope should be clearly marked “Postal Adalat”. Every application must include the applicant’s full name, complete postal address and mobile number to facilitate timely communication and disposal of the grievance.

The Postal Adalat is expected to strengthen transparency, accountability and customer satisfaction by providing direct interaction between postal officials and the public. India Post has appealed to all customers facing issues related to services provided by Lucknow GPO to utilize this platform for speedy redressal.
