In a remarkable achievement on the international stage, Sanjana Kumari, a student of Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, has brought pride to India by winning one gold and one bronze medal at the Czech Para Badminton International 2026.

The prestigious tournament was held in the Czech Republic from April 14 to April 19, 2026, featuring top para badminton players from across the globe. Competing in the SL-03 category, Sanjana delivered an outstanding performance against tough international opponents. She secured a bronze medal in the singles event and clinched a gold medal in the mixed doubles category, showcasing exceptional coordination and skill.

Upon her return, she received a warm and celebratory welcome at the university campus. Vice Chancellor Acharya Sanjay Singh, along with faculty members and students, congratulated her for this inspiring achievement.

In his message, the Vice Chancellor stated, “Sanjana’s success is a matter of immense pride for both the university and the nation. Her dedication and perseverance serve as an inspiration for aspiring athletes. The university will continue to support talented sportspersons in achieving excellence.”
