Punjab National Bank celebrated its 132nd Foundation Day with grandeur at Yashobhoomi, showcasing its legacy, innovation, and future roadmap.
The event was graced by Chief Guest M Nagaraju and Hari Har Mishra, along with senior officials from RBI and other institutions. It began with a tribute to the bank’s founder Lala Lajpat Rai.
MD & CEO Ashok Chandra congratulated the PNB family, highlighting the bank’s remarkable journey and commitment to nation-building.
A major highlight was the announcement of ₹1 lakh crore in digital sanctions, reflecting PNB’s strong digital lending capabilities. The bank also launched 22 new products and initiatives across retail banking, MSME, agriculture, digital services, and sustainability.
In his address, M Nagaraju noted that PNB’s growth from a modest ₹20,000 to nearly ₹30 lakh crore global business mirrors India’s economic evolution.
The celebration featured cultural performances, while the evening concluded with a captivating musical show by Sonu Nigam.
With a focus on digital transformation, financial inclusion, and sustainability, PNB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting India’s journey towards inclusive and sustainable growth under the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
