Northeast Railway Pensioners Association Holds Annual Convention in Lucknow

The annual convention and senior pensioners’ felicitation ceremony of the Northeast Railway Pensioners Association, Lucknow Division, affiliated with the All India Pensioners Organisation, was held at the Northeast Railway Recreation Centre in Aishbagh, Lucknow. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from retired railway employees, association members, and railway officials.
Chief Medical Superintendent Ramesh Chandra and Additional Chief Medical Superintendent Sanjay Tiwari attended the event as chief guests. Both officials appreciated the efforts and social work being carried out by the Pensioners Association and assured complete cooperation in addressing issues related to retired railway employees. They stated that pensioners remain an integral part of the railway family and deserve continuous support and respect.
Divisional president Gopal Tiwari highlighted the achievements and welfare activities of the association. He said the organisation has consistently worked towards protecting the interests of pensioners and raising their concerns before the railway administration.
Divisional secretary Sunil Srivastava expressed gratitude to all officers, guests, and members who attended the convention. He also requested the Chief Medical Superintendent to ensure that pensioners’ associations are included whenever the railway administration organises health camps or medical awareness programmes, so that retired employees can directly benefit from such initiatives.
During the ceremony, senior pensioners were honoured for their contribution and long years of dedicated service to the railway sector. Speakers described the experience and commitment of retired employees as a valuable asset for the organisation and society.

The event concluded with colourful cultural performances presented by Ratnesh Mishra and his team, which added warmth and entertainment to the gathering. The programme was conducted by Shivnath Srivastava.
Several association office bearers, including executive president Chandrabhan Malviya, treasurer Sandeep Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Dhirendra Singh, and Khadim Ali, were also present on the occasion.
