Two-Day Convention in Lucknow Highlights Human Resources, Infrastructure, Technology and Organisational Unity

Officers Gather in Lucknow
The Uttar Pradesh Stamp and Registration Officers Association held its two-day convention at the Mercury Hall of Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow. The convention was inaugurated by retired judge and chief guest Shri Ranganath Pandey, who emphasised unity, coordination and collective action as the core strengths of the organisation.
Growing Workload, Rising Responsibility
A significant focus of the convention was the increasing workload in Sub-Registrar offices. Retired Additional Inspector General of Registration Shri Manindra Kumar Saxena stressed the need to increase the strength of Sub-Registrars and office staff in view of the growing responsibilities of these offices.
Infrastructure Needs Attention
Former association president Shri O.P. Singh called for strengthening departmental infrastructure, increasing the number of Sub-Registrar offices and ensuring adequate human resources. He also underlined the importance of strengthening unity and cooperation among members of the cadre.
New Officers Introduced
The convention also provided an opportunity to introduce newly appointed Sub-Registrars to the department. They were briefed about departmental functioning, activities and responsibilities, creating an important platform for interaction between experienced and newly inducted officers.
Technology and Transparency
Speakers stressed the importance of modern technology, improved infrastructure and adequate manpower in enhancing departmental efficiency. Issues related to employee welfare were also discussed. Participants called for collective efforts to make departmental functioning more accessible, transparent, effective and citizen-oriented.
Experience Meets New Energy
The convention brought serving and retired officers together for an exchange of experiences and perspectives. The interaction was seen as an opportunity to strengthen institutional coordination and reinforce the organisation’s collective approach.

The proceedings concluded with a renewed commitment to organisational unity and institutional strengthening. The discussions placed particular emphasis on manpower, infrastructure, technology, efficiency and citizen-centric administration—issues that are central to improving the functioning of the Stamp and Registration Department.
