Zero Tolerance Under Question: Repeated Delays in UP Transport Probe Spark Fresh Controversy”

Lucknow: Serious questions are now being raised over the functioning of the Uttar Pradesh Transport Commissioner’s Office after repeated postponements in the investigation related to alleged irregularities in the Smart Card Driving License Project handled by Roz Mart Technology Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon/Delhi. Critics allege that while the state government continues to promote a “Zero Tolerance Against Corruption” policy, officials within the department are allegedly weakening the credibility of the probe by repeatedly changing hearing dates and delaying action.

According to official communication issued by the Office of the Transport Commissioner, the matter concerns allegations of irregular appointments and illegal monetary demands during the recruitment process linked to the Smart Card Driving License project. Several complainants were initially called for a hearing on May 8, 2026, but the meeting reportedly could not be completed due to “unavoidable reasons.” A fresh hearing was then scheduled for May 18, 2026.

However, complainants and affected individuals are now openly questioning whether the repeated delays are part of a larger attempt to protect the private company involved while pressuring innocent employees and whistleblowers. Many allege that instead of ensuring speedy justice, officials are prolonging the process to weaken the case and eventually provide a clean chit to the company.

The controversy has intensified because the issue directly challenges the image of administrative accountability often highlighted by the Modi-Yogi governments. Opposition voices and activists claim that repeated postponements send a dangerous message that influential firms can avoid scrutiny while ordinary employees face harassment and uncertainty.

Sources familiar with the matter claim that despite submission of documents and statements by complainants, the investigation has shown little visible progress. The growing frustration among affected individuals has now turned into public anger, with demands for an independent and transparent inquiry gaining momentum.

The case is expected to draw wider political and administrative attention in the coming days if the probe continues to face delays without concrete action. <blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>Zero Tolerance Under Question: Repeated Delays in UP Transport Probe Spark Fresh Controversy” <a href=”https://t.co/V0qGdOvTdH”>https://t.co/V0qGdOvTdH</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/uptransportdept?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@uptransportdept</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/dayashankar4bjp?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@dayashankar4bjp</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/myogioffice?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@myogioffice</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/myogiadityanath?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@myogiadityanath</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/BJP4India?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@BJP4India</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/AmitShah?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@AmitShah</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/UPGovt?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@UPGovt</a> <a href=”https://twitter.com/upgovt9?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>@upgovt9</a> <a href=”https://t.co/kcESyYn4QH”>pic.twitter.com/kcESyYn4QH</a></p>&mdash; Anytime News (@AnytimeNew47) <a href=”https://twitter.com/AnytimeNew47/status/2056322784641556799?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>May 18, 2026</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>
