Birla Open Minds School Hosts Mother’s Day Health Workshop to Promote Preventive Healthcare

Birla Open Minds International School, Shaheedpath, organized a special Health Awareness Workshop on the occasion of Mother’s Day to spread awareness about preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices among mothers and families. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from parents, guardians, and members of the school community.
The workshop was attended by Shri C.D. Pandey, Director of Birla Open Minds International School Shaheedpath, and Principal Ms. Uzmana Maseh, who welcomed the guests and participants. Addressing the gathering, they highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, regular health check-ups, mental well-being, and holistic healthcare for mothers. They emphasized that healthy mothers are the foundation of healthy families and communities.

The event featured expert sessions by specialists from Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow. Dr. Preeti Sharma, Consultant in Mental Health and Behavioural Sciences, and Dr. Sumedha Gupta, Senior Resident in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, shared valuable insights on women’s health, preventive care, nutrition, emotional well-being, and healthy lifestyle habits. Their sessions were highly appreciated by the attendees.
As part of the initiative, free health investigations were conducted for participants, including blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI, ECG, cholesterol, calcium, uric acid, and eye check-ups. Participants also received complimentary consultations from physicians, dieticians, and dental experts.
Adding warmth and celebration to the occasion, students of the school presented cultural performances dedicated to mothers, creating an emotional and vibrant atmosphere. The organizers also distributed Healthy Family Privilege Cards and offered additional pathological tests at discounted rates for the school community.
The workshop successfully combined health awareness with celebration, reflecting the school’s commitment to community well-being and preventive healthcare education.
