A crackdown by the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) revealed that prominent outlets, including M/s Apollo Pharmacy, Aminabad, were actively operating as conduits for illegal, life-threatening fake drugs.

Government School Teacher Exposed as Kingpin

In a chilling revelation, investigators discovered that M/s Apollo Pharmacy, Aminabad was being operated by Avinash Chaudhary, a primary school teacher posted in Barabanki. Shielding behind a noble profession, Chaudhary orchestrated an organized network using fake billing mechanisms to dump counterfeit pharmaceuticals directly into the retail market. An FIR under stringent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered against him.
