: Samajwadi Party President and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has strongly criticised the BJP-led state government over the killing of Raju Vishwakarma in Deoria and the reported attack on his family members. He termed the incident “deeply disturbing” and demanded swift action against those responsible.
Allegations Over PDA Community Attacks
Yadav alleged that attacks on members of the PDA community have increased under the present administration and urged the government to ensure impartial justice. He said public confidence depends on fair and effective law enforcement.
Threat Claim by SP Leader
The SP chief also claimed that party spokesperson Engineer Sandeep Vishwakarma received death threats while visiting the victim’s family. He alleged that the incident occurred in the presence of local authorities and called for immediate action against those involved.
Demand for Fair Investigation
Yadav urged the government to conduct a transparent investigation, arrest the accused at the earliest, and provide security to the victim’s family. He reiterated that maintaining law and order is the state’s constitutional responsibility.
