Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Mayawati has asserted that her party does not believe in disruptive protests, road blockades, or damage to public and private property for political gains. She described the BSP as an Ambedkarite movement committed to the principle of “Sarvajan Hitay, Sarvajan Sukhay” and dedicated to social justice through democratic means.
Highlights BSP’s Governance Record
Mayawati claimed that the BSP’s four governments in Uttar Pradesh delivered strong law and order, inclusive development, and welfare-oriented governance. She said her party remains committed to constitutional values and equal justice for all sections of society.
Alleges Attempts to Mislead Voters
The BSP leader alleged that opposition parties, sensing the party’s growing influence ahead of the next Assembly elections, are trying to mislead Dalits, backward communities, tribal groups, and other sections through affiliated organisations and political campaigns.
Appeal to Youth and Workers
She urged young people and party supporters to avoid situations that could expose them to legal trouble or violence during political movements, saying such developments could adversely affect their future and family responsibilities.
Reaffirms Ambedkarite Mission
Invoking the legacy of Jyotiba Phule, Narayana Guru, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Kanshi Ram, Mayawati reiterated that the BSP remains committed to social transformation and economic empowerment. She appealed to party workers to remain united and vigilant against what she described as attempts to weaken the party’s mission.
