In a major push towards industrial revival, Uttar Pradesh’s Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma inspected the long-defunct Pardaha Mill in Mau district on April 17, 2026, announcing plans to transform the site into a modern industrial park.
Spread across approximately 85 acres, the proposed industrial cluster aims to revive Mau’s industrial legacy while creating new opportunities for economic growth. The minister directed officials to expedite the development process and ensure timely implementation of the project.
Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, A.K. Sharma stated that the government is committed to linking youth with skills and employment. The project is designed to generate both direct and indirect job opportunities, while also encouraging entrepreneurship and self-employment in the region.
He further emphasized that the allocation process for industrial units will be made transparent and hassle-free through an upcoming online system, enabling investors and entrepreneurs to apply and secure allotments efficiently.
Calling it a significant step towards the vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat,” the minister said the industrial park will attract investments, strengthen local industries, and boost the regional economy. The initiative is expected to reduce regional disparities and bring Mau back into the mainstream of industrial development.
The visit was attended by public representatives, senior officials from the industry department, traders, and local residents, reflecting strong community interest in the project’s success.
