New Delhi: During the debate on the Public Examination (Amendment) Bill, 2026, Samajwadi Party MP from Mainpuri Dimple Yadav launched a strong political attack on the Union Government, describing the nationwide NEET paper leak protests as a victory of students and young citizens who stood firm against what she termed an “arrogant administration.”

Jantar Mantar Became the Voice of Students

Addressing the Lok Sabha, Yadav said the month-long peaceful demonstration at Jantar Mantar reflected growing frustration among students from across India. She stated that the Samajwadi Party extended full support to the movement and that party MPs participated not for political mileage but to stand with students demanding fairness and transparency.

Serious Allegations Against the Government

The SP leader alleged that security forces dealt harshly with peaceful protesters. She claimed that barricades were erected across protest routes, students were subjected to force, and many protesters sustained injuries during the demonstrations. According to her, the response reflected intolerance toward democratic dissent rather than engagement with legitimate public concerns.

‘Youth Will Not Forget This’

Yadav further alleged that branding protesting students as troublemakers amounted to an insult to India’s youth. She argued that instead of addressing concerns over examination integrity, the government resorted to force and intimidation. Such actions, she said, have deepened public distrust and widened the gap between the administration and the younger generation.

Political Heat Builds Before 2027

She asserted that the controversy has evolved beyond an examination issue into a larger debate over accountability, transparency, and democratic rights. With opposition parties continuing to raise the matter both inside and outside Parliament, the issue is expected to remain politically significant in the run-up to the 2027 elections.
