Developed at a cost of ₹171 crore, the technology centre is equipped with advanced capabilities including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, EDM, CAD/CAM systems, 3D printing, and industrial automation. The centre is expected to train over 100,000 youth in the coming years, preparing them for industry-ready roles and boosting employment generation.
During the event, beneficiaries of key schemes under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, including PM Vishwakarma, PMEGP, and the National SC/ST Hub, were provided with toolkits, financial assistance, and recognition certificates. An exhibition showcased products from entrepreneurs, where leaders interacted directly with participants to understand their challenges and opportunities.
Jitan Ram Manjhi emphasized that MSMEs form the backbone of India’s economy and such initiatives will accelerate Bihar’s growth trajectory. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary highlighted that the new centres will empower youth with advanced, industry-oriented skills, paving the way for self-reliance and economic expansion.
The extension centres will collectively train over 5,500 individuals annually and support around 1,500 MSMEs each year, significantly improving productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness across sectors.
