UP Timber Association Celebrates 9th Foundation Day as “Vijay Diwas”

 

 New State Committee Takes Oath, Govt Reaffirms Support to Timber Traders

The Uttar Pradesh Timber Association celebrated its 9th Foundation Day as “Vijay Diwas” with great enthusiasm at Hotel Sky High, Aishbagh, Lucknow. The event also witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of the newly formed state executive committee, marking a significant milestone for the organization.

The chief guest, MLC Mukesh Sharma, extended his congratulations to the association and praised its journey of perseverance and success. He highlighted that the association stands as an example of how sustained struggle leads to victory. He also appreciated State President Mohanish Trivedi for his leadership in strengthening the timber-based industry and creating employment opportunities for hundreds of traders across the state.

Mr. Sharma emphasized that the efforts to secure licenses for timber traders received crucial support from Defence Minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He assured that both the central and state governments remain committed to protecting the interests of traditional timber traders and will continue to support them at every step.

During the ceremony, Mr. Sharma administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed office bearers and conveyed his best wishes for their tenure.

Speaking on the occasion, State President Mohanish Trivedi stated that celebrating the foundation day as “Vijay Diwas” reflects the association’s spirit of unity and achievement. He also reiterated the organization’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of timber traders and further strengthening the trade network across Uttar Pradesh.

Several prominent members and dignitaries attended the event, including Saket Sharma (former councillor), Girish Gupta (councillor), Sandeep Sharma (councillor), legal advisor and program host Ashish Trivedi, General Secretary Akhtar Khan, patrons Ajit Singh and Mulchand Maurya, Media Incharge Diwakar Pratap Singh, Vice Presidents Vinod Sharma, Ejaz Khan, Devendra Pratap Singh, Abhay Singh, Advocate Vivek Pandey, Saurabh Gupta, Mo Raza, as well as traders and leaders like Devashish Dev, Jitendra Singh, Anurag Agrawal, Kashif, and Prakhar Srivastava.
