The design of the ‘Integrated Emergency Transport Stretcher’ developed by their team has been granted formal registration by the Patent Office, Government of India.

The journey of this innovation began with a real-life patient crisis. While a critically ill patient was being shifted from the emergency department to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), their condition suddenly deteriorated, necessitating immediate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). At that moment, a practical bottleneck faced by emergency physicians surfaced: performing effective CPR on a moving conventional stretcher is extremely difficult, as doctors lack adequate space and a stable foundation to deliver effective chest compressions.
This led to a simple yet revolutionary question: “Why must a doctor have to climb onto a stretcher just to perform CPR?” That single thought planted the seed of an innovation that has now translated from a conceptual design into a legally recognized patent backed by the Government of India.

This advanced stretcher integrates an extended platform for CPR, continuous patient monitoring, oxygen and suction provisions, emergency supply storage, patient safety harnesses, radiolucent surfaces for imaging, intravenous fluid stands, height adjustability, and backup power integration onto a unified platform.
