It was a classic “soft glove and hard iron fist” strategy displayed by the Badaun Transport Department on World Environment Day! Leading from the front, ARTO Shri Hariom and Passenger Tax Officer Shri Abhinav Kumar Choudhary first showed their softer side by planting trees inside the departmental premises to honor Mother Nature. But right after washing their hands, they jumped into their enforcement jeeps on the strict orders of the UP Government and District Magistrate, transforming the district roads into a literal nightmare for traffic violators!
Massive Crackdown: Millions Liquidated In Fines! The enforcement squad launched a ruthless assault on the notorious overload syndicate. Seven massive overloaded commercial trucks were brutally penalised, and 4 were instantly seized on the spot, squeezing out a whopping Rs 2.41 lakh in cash as compounding fees. Moving further, the team intercepted 11 illegally operating local Eco-vans, buses, and transport vehicles, putting 10 of them straight under lock and key (seized) for violating state transport permits.
The Deadly Interceptor Hunt: No Escaping the Camera! To teach a chilling lesson to casual city drivers, the high-tech ‘Interceptor Vehicle’ was deployed across major choke points. The results were shocking and swift! A total of 61 violations were logged via the tech-surveillance, including 35 reckless bikers riding without helmets, 21 status-driven car drivers skipping seat belts, 10 distracted citizens using mobile phones while driving, and 11 dangerous individuals driving on the wrong side of the road. Sending a crystal clear, uncompromising warning to the public, the transport officials stated that road safety is a non-negotiable priority and urged citizens to cooperate with the traffic police—or be fully prepared to face heavy structural financial damage!
