Secretary Shrivatsa Krishna Flags Off Flight, Assures Safe and Seamless Pilgrimage

: Dr. Shrivatsa Krishna, Secretary of the Ministry of Minority Affairs, flagged off the first Haj 2026 flight from Delhi to Medina at 9:45 AM on Saturday, marking the beginning of this year’s pilgrimage journey.

Addressing the pilgrims, he extended his best wishes for a safe, smooth, and spiritually fulfilling Haj. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Government of India to ensuring the comfort and welfare of all Haj pilgrims.

Dr. Krishna highlighted that comprehensive arrangements have been made in coordination with the Indian Consulate in Jeddah and Saudi authorities. These include medical assistance, logistics support, accommodation, and transport facilities to ensure a hassle-free pilgrimage experience.

He also emphasized the government’s continuous efforts to modernize and streamline the Haj process. Full digitization of applications, enhanced transparency in selection, and improved facilities at embarkation points have significantly upgraded the overall experience for pilgrims across the country.

Pilgrims expressed appreciation for the improved arrangements, noting that better infrastructure and technology-driven initiatives have made the process more convenient and efficient.

With robust planning and coordinated execution, Haj 2026 is set to deliver an enhanced pilgrimage experience for Indian travelers.
