PRV Awareness Drive Flagged Off Ahead of National Lok Adalat, Push for Speedy Justice

Lucknow: In a major initiative to spread awareness about the upcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled for May 9, 2026, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Lucknow launched a large-scale publicity campaign on Thursday. District Judge and Chairman of DLSA Lucknow, Malkhan Singh, flagged off a PRV awareness vehicle from the district court premises.
The specially designed publicity vehicle will travel across all tehsils, blocks, and remote rural areas of Lucknow district to educate people about the benefits of National Lok Adalat and encourage litigants to resolve pending disputes through mutual settlement.
Speaking on the occasion, District Judge Malkhan Singh said that National Lok Adalat has emerged as an effective platform for providing affordable, accessible, and speedy justice to the common public. He appealed to citizens to take maximum advantage of the initiative and settle their pending cases amicably.
Officials stated that disputes related to bank recovery matters, electricity and water bills, family disputes, labour issues, motor accident claims, revenue cases, and other compoundable matters would be taken up during the Lok Adalat proceedings. The campaign aims to reduce the burden on courts while ensuring faster dispute resolution for citizens.
The National Lok Adalat will be organized on May 9 at the district court, collectorate, and all tehsil-level courts across Lucknow district. Authorities are making extensive preparations to ensure smooth functioning and maximum participation.
The event was attended by National Lok Adalat Nodal Officer and Additional District Judge Prakash Tiwari, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kunwar Mitresh Singh Kushwaha, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Nodal Officer Kiran Yadav, along with judicial officers, panel advocates, para-legal volunteers, and defence counsels.
